Jon S. Laing, DVM
Dr. Laing has been practicing with Dr. Williams since his graduation from OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He enjoys doing farm work, as he likes being outdoors. In addition to his excellent large animal skills, he also sees small animals in-office and is our chief orthopedic surgeon. He is also the proud father of Kelsey Mei and Story Mudan, both adopted from China. He also has 2 dogs named Daisy and Doc, and a cat named George.
Dr. Samantha Coe, DVM
Many of you may remember Samantha as a veterinary assistant working for us several years ago. Dr. Coe grew up in Greenville Ohio, riding and competing horses in 4H and Pony Club. She attended Otterbein University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Equine Science and Biology. While at Otterbein, Samantha competed on the dressage, huntseat, and eventing team. She then attended the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her DVM in 2011. Dr. Coe and her wife Jodi King have a small farm that includes 3 cats, 3 dogs Poncho and Callie, her senior pit bull Kiss, 2 horses, and beef cattle. Dr. Coe enjoys working with pets as well as livestock. She also likes to promote small local farming.
Joanna Reen, DVM
Dr. Reen, a 1992 graduate of Purdue University ’s School of Veterinary Medicine , has a passion for small and exotic animal medicine. She strives to provide compassionate care for pets and the people who love them.
She lives in Heath with her husband Mark and their three children, Erin, Sarah and Caleb. They share their small “farmlet” with two dogs, Jake and Porkchop, Barney the parrot, Chesney the hedgehog, 3 horses, 6 cats and an entourage of 4-H pets including rabbits and chickens. In her spare time Dr. Reen enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, scrapbooking and supporting her children in their school and 4-H activities.
Jessica Arth, DVM
Dr. Arth lives in the Columbus area with her husband, their two cats, GOB and Buster, and their dog, Cash. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and participating in local community events, such as their neighborhood 'cook and book' club, and a local running club. Dr. Arth loves working with animals and enjoys finding ways to make visits to the vet's office as low stress for animals and owners as possible. She loves all creatures (great and small), and looks forward to getting to know the people and animals of RCVS!
